Hello! I am originally from Oregon, IL, which is about 6 hours south of Glidden. Growing up I raised pigs and poultry. After graduating high school, I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Middle Childhood-Early Adolescence and a Mathematics Minor from UW-Eau Claire.

In my free time, I love to fish, bake, read, and paint. I will be teaching Math 8,  Math 7, Mini-Economy II, and Life Skills/Careers this year.

Course Outline

Students in Math 8 and Math 7 will learn by doing math, solving problems in mathematical and real-world contexts, and constructing arguments using precise language. Students will have the opportunity to collaborate with their classmates, gain experience communicating their ideas both verbally and in writing, and develop skills that will serve them well throughout their lives. In most lessons, students will complete a warm-up, one or more instructional activities, lesson synthesis, cool-down, and practice problems.

Mini-Economy
Students who are interested in expanding their knowledge in the financial world are encouraged to invest their time in Mini-Economy II! Through hand-on learning and discovery, students will learn more about saving, investing, credit, debt, risk management, and insurance through a classroom economy based system. The classroom economy helps students learn valuable life skills such as organization, the value of saving, and delayed gratification.
